  Fact:  When it comes to ranking in the natural search listings, a lot of SEO companies talk about the top 30.  Since most search engines list 10 results per page, you are looking at the first 3 pages, although I think that this is a bit to vague.  I found that when my retail website ranked in the first page or at the top of the second page, the traffic was actually very close and then it would drop off.  Being that I am a business owner and not a computer geek, I don't care what the so-called "Experts" tell me and use my own data.
  I think that anytime your website shows up in the top 15 positions, so either the first or top part of second page, you will do good, especially if you are offering something unique.
