Search Engine
Optimization!!
How To Rank High In The Search Engines!
SEO Tip#4 -
Proper Encoding
If you are thinking about starting
your own website, but are under the
impression that the work is simply too
complicated or expensive, don't worry.
Been there, done that!!
In this
section, I want to explain to you why most
website owners do not understand the
importance of search engine optimization and how a few simple changes
would help their websites
achieve a top ranking in the search engines.
The information here is taken from my manual
Easywebsite101, which covers everything in
much more detail and gives you step-by-step
instructions on how to actually optimize
your website for the search engines.
-
To rank high in
the search engines, you must have a
website that is designed.
Fact:
Search for anything you like on Google
and look at the top 10 results.
Virtually all top ranking websites share
the same characteristics and if you want
your website to rank high as well, you
need to make sure that your site uses
the same techniques as well.
The first step in a successful SEO
strategy is to look at your website and
I would recommend that you start with
your homepage. Once you see how
easy it is to optimize your homepage,
you can apply the same techniques to the
other pages and you will benefit from
the results.
Search engine optimized websites do not
like frames, but unfortunately most
websites are created using them. Due to
the simplicity of frames, most
professional web designers and company
use them to create their clients
websites. In addition, most
readily available website templates use
frames in their layout and if you use
these templates to create your
website, you will also see a very low if
any ranking at all.
A well designed website is one that uses
tables instead of frames and does not
incorporate features that the search
engines hate. For example, many
homepages feature pop-ups, moving
graphics, automated video introductions,
and other types of web design tools that
might be pretty to look at, but are
absolutely hated by the search engines.
The search engines are like meat and
potato guys, so get rid of the fancy
stuff and stick to the basics.
Search engines look at the encoding and
if it is significantly more than the
information, then the page will not rank
high.
Optimized websites typically features
lots of information in the form of meta
tags, pictures, links, and text.
So make sure that you add lots of these
features to your webpages and get rid of
frames and anything else that creates
lots of useless encoding.

Lots of
additional tips.
Fact:
I have added detailed information in my
manual that not only explains what you
need to do, but more importantly how to
do it. Assuming that you are a
beginner or run a small website, I have
created simple step by step instructions
that tell you exactly what to do, which
button to press, and just as
importantly, what not to do. As
you can see in this and all of my other
pages, I am not just trying to push my
manual, but also give you useful
information so that you won't get ripped
off by the internet scumbags like I did.
